They were "reborn dolls". ''Reborning'' is the name for the procedure of changing and altering a baby doll to look and to feel as much like a human baby as is possible. Barlind decided to get one. Once she got it, she decided she had to make one too. Soon she started selling her reborn dolls through eBay as well as her own Web site. Plenty of other people have stumbled upon it. One Web site where reborn ''artists'' and their customers get together has over a thousand members.
